Company History
In 1978, after many years of personally helping individuals compile information and complete government forms that they were unable to handle themselves, Business Services Unlimited was formed and registered as a Sole Proprietorship by Cheryll Carruthers.
In the early days, Cheryll worked full time in Sales & Marketing for General Tire, and then Canplas Industries, growing Business Services Unlimited out of her home during her off hours.
She employed a student part time during evenings and weekends as a support. This young lady has since continued her education and is currently a lawyer working out of Orillia, Ontario.
During the recession of the 80’s one of BSU’s oldest and dearest clients had vacant office space that was proving difficult to lease. Cheryll suggested that the space be subdivided into smaller spaces to be rented, and Business Services Unlimited would provide clerical & bookkeeping services to the Lessors.
This proved, while not always easy, to be a successful endeavor for both the client… in renting smaller amounts of space… but also for by BSU providing necessary services.
These services continued to expand outside of the tenants occupying space in the office, to the very diverse group of clients services by Business Services today. All of our services are very customized to each of our clients needs.
The Company incorporated in March 1999, and much to the lawyers chagrin the company became Business Services Unlimited, Limited, as it functions today.
Over the many years that followed wonderful things have happened at BSU, for which we are very grateful.
We have been fortunate to have had the support of many wonderful clients… many of whom have been with us from inception of the company.
Our client base is very diverse, and this keeps our days very interesting.
We provide service to Commercial Property Owners, Contractors of many varieties, Dental, Medical and Legal Offices, Veterinary Services, Hockey Arenas, Restaurants, Staffing Agencies, varied Farm Operations, Golf Courses, Private Schools, Residential Property Owners and many Retail Operations.
